Key roles in NAMA named by NTMA

The National Treasury Management Agency [NTMA] today announced a number of key roles in NAMA. John Mulcahy has been appointed Head of Portfolio Management. He has been on secondment from Jones Lang LaSalle to the NTMA in the role of Interim Head of Portfolio Management since June 2009 and has worked with JLL since 1970.

Ronnie Hanna has been appointed Head of Credit and Risk. He has worked with Ulster Bank in a variety of roles since 1980. Most recently he has held the role of Head of Global Restructuring Group NI and prior to that Head of Credit Risk NI within Ulster Bank. Ronnie is a graduate of Queen's University Belfast and a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers.

Aideen O'Reilly has been appointed Head of Legal and Tax. She has worked as Senior Legal Adviser with the NTMA since 2002 where she has been responsible for the provision of legal services to the NTMA, National Pensions Reserve Fund and State Claims Agency. She is a graduate of University College Dublin and Queen's University Belfast.

Sean O Faolain has been appointed Head of Business Services. Sean has worked in a variety of roles with the NTMA since 1991, including management of the foreign currency debt and the start-up phase of the State Claims Agency which operates within the NTMA.

Frank Daly Chairman of the National Asset Management Agency welcomed the appointments on behalf of the Board. Brendan McDonagh, Chief Executive, said that the individuals appointed will play a key role in managing the National Asset Management Agency.
