Licensing of those providing debt advice is a good thing. There is a heavy responsibility on those providing advice to those already in financial difficulty. They need to be professional in delivering this service and not add to the burden already being felt by individuals and families.
The Department of Finance is considering it’s options in this matter as they are not subject to current financial regulations. Those with the high standards expected will welcome the opportunity to demonstrate their values and ethics.
